If you’re out for the day, I know you will make a stop at your favorite coffee spot to grab the perfect cold coffee or shake. This urge just doubles up in summers and I always love curbing my sweet cravings with a great shake or drink. You are going to love the recipes for my cafe style coffee at home. They are so simple to put together and taste just like the real deal.

I am sharing three epic flavors with you. Why have just one go to drink when you can indulge in so many, am I right? The three flavors I am sharing include classic vanilla, kit kat, and what I think might be everyone’s favorite- oreo!

How to make cafe style coffee at home

Coffee has always been a taboo for many to make at home. It’s always either a mess with the froth, or the coffee is too strong or too light, can never get the right amount of ice and etc etc. let us take a look at these areas individually and see how easy it is to make some cafe style coffee at home.

Now all these recipes are actually frappuccinos. What does that mean? It means that any drink with either a coffee base or a creme base that is made by blending ice and other flavorings together is called a frappuccino. It’s actually a trademark of Starbucks.

What a lot of people confuse with frappuccino is an iced coffee. The main difference between a frappuccino and an iced coffee is that in an iced coffee, the ice is never blended. It’s added in whole in the coffee glass and then other flavorings are poured over it. Whether you prefer a frappuccino or an iced coffee, completely depends on each person’s personal preference.

So to make cafe style coffees at home, first you need to know whether you want a frappuccino or an iced coffee. And then, all you need to do is follow the recipe and get yourself a perfect coffee.

Classic vanilla cafe style coffee

This one is super basic but also the most loved by anyone and everyone who loves coffee. All you need to make this flavor is some ice, vanilla ice cream, instant coffee, and milk. Since we are making blended coffees/ frappuccinos, all of these ingredients will go in the blender together and get blitzed till everything comes together. It is actually just that easy.

Kitkat cafe style coffee

This one is super fun to make and perfect for when you want a little addition of chocolate to your coffee and get into the mocha vibes. For this coffee you will need some ice, some chocolate ice cream, cocoa powder, instant coffee powder, and kit kat.

There are so many flavors of kit kat available in the market now. I like the brownie kit kat the best but for this drink, I actually used the classic one. You can use whichever you like. When you are adding kit kat into the boender, just make sure to roughly break it into smaller sticks/chunks so that it blends really nicely in the blender. Dropping in the whole stick might take longer to blend and will end up creating excessive froth while pouring the coffee into serving glasses.

Oreo cafe style coffee

I have a feeling majority of you are going to love this one the most. I have always been an oreo fan and I am always excited to add it into my desserts and shakes. For this oreo cafe style coffee, ingredients that you need include ice, vanilla ice cream, milk, coffee and ice. All the ingredients will get blended together in the blender and come together in a smooth drink.

Instant coffee for cafe style coffee at home

You can’t make cafe style coffee at home without some good quality instant espresso powder. The one I love to use is Davidoff coffee. Everyone in my house loves the fragrance and taste. Nescafe is also a great option and there is also bru. Here again the powder you choose is completely based on personal preference so you do you!

All three flavor recipes in this article have a specified amount of instant coffee powder going in them. This is something that you can definitely alter according to how much coffee you want to add. If you like a stronger flavor, go for some more coffee powder and vice versa if you like a lighter coffee flavor.

Summer is all about keeping yourself hydrated and drinking lots of fluids. If you are ever in the mood for a treat then one of these coffees is bound to bring a smile on your face. If you recreate these recipes do not forget to share images with me on my Instagram @shivesh17.
