    Hi Rosie,

I have tried several of your recipes and the results were ‘tasty!’ Particularly enjoyed the mixed greens recipe with European bacon.

Was excited to see you featured in SHEEN Magazine and couldn’t wait to read the article. However and regrettably the link you provided continuously came back with and error page. Not to be deterred I googled SHEEN and located it there *Here’s the link for other ‘fans.’ https://www.sheenmagazine.com/we-just-cant-get-enough-of-i-heart-recipes-creator-rosie-mayes/

It was a pleasure learning more about, your family, and your ‘likes.’

    Hi Rosie:

I have been following your blog for a few years now (since the beginning). I love all the recipes, and pictures.
My grandmother was a professional cook, and I remember her making several apple dessert dishes, one was called Apple Dumpling, apple Brown Betty, (a mix between a cobbler, or apple crisp)which I have never really been able to capture her’s exactly. It did not have the oats in the crisp topping, and the apples were on the bottom. Yummy! Anyhow, any such recipes that you might have like this would be a treat to make.
    Thank you!

So funny story..I met a new guy and he always talked about how his sister and granny cooking was amazing. He use to send me pics of his plates sometime and it looked soo good! I mean they are true southern cooks! I could cook but nothing to major (usually just canned things and I knew the basics like chicken (which never came out crunchy I over crowded the pot and spaghetti etc) now after typing that I guess I really couldn’t cook lol! I gassed myself up of course and lied my but off “like yeah I can cook to,I love cooking for my man” at this point I really didn’t like cooking and I never cooked for a man lol! So I was nervous as heck like I know damnnnn well I cant cook none of the things he named! So I went on YouTube and typed in a recipe for mac and cheese to start off with and your video came up! It looked so easy and the instructions were very clear. Not to mention it looked SOO good! Needless to say I made it the next day everybody LOVED it including me! I was so proud I sent him a pic lol! After that I’ve literally watched (and thumbed up okkkk!) every video you have ever made. You have tons of recipes and it was all of the foods we love! I love cooking so much now I wish I could stay home and do it all day. It warms your heart to bring people together with food and to know that they love it! Cooking has brought me closer to my boyfriend, family, and friends. Now they are always requesting dishes from me! My granny loves my cooking aka your recipes lol and that’s BIG when your granny cleans her plate and say how good it is!! My boyfriend wants me to cook all the time! He is def one of those food is a way to a man hearts kinda guy! I just wanted to say thank you! Cooking is really therapy for me and I truly enjoy it now because of you! Its even times I was cooking and needed a little extra help and wrote you on Instagram and you got back to me EVERY TIME and right away! You seem very down to earth and humble! Please don’t ever stop doing what you do! Thank you!!!!
